Renovating without closing the hotel
Most hotel refurbishments happen while the building is still welcoming guests, so the furniture schedule has to fit around occupancy rather than the other way round. We start by surveying the existing rooms, because walls, sockets and window positions in an older building rarely match the original drawings. The new room set is then drawn to the measured conditions, and a single sample room is completed first so that the operator and the designer can approve it on site.
Once the sample is signed off, production in our Istanbul workshop is organised in batches that match the renovation phases. Each batch is packed by floor and room type, delivered when that section of the hotel is closed, and installed by our own team. Old furniture can be removed in the same visit, which keeps corridors clear and shortens the time a floor stays out of service.
